The flash back into consciousness was loud and abrupt.  Flinging myself upright, I felt a sharp pain in my neck.  I rubbed the pained area softly to ease the shock.  Swiftly rising out of my sheets, I head off to the restroom to get a drink of water.  I twist the knob on the faucet and water shoots out.  As the water dashed out of the steel pipe into the sink, I gather the thoughts of my last dream.  "Pawn…pawn…and I'm losing in her game…" the water continues to run for about a minute or so, until I break out of my thoughts.  Shaking my head to wake up my eye
